An extended journey on the VSOE, this journey departs Paris in the morning, travelling south through the Alps and into Italy, continuing until it reaches the Eternal City the following afternoon. After travelling to Paris by Eurostar, stay for one night and enjoy an evening in the city before boarding the train the next morning.

As you glide our of Paris on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, there is time to settle in to your exquisite private compartment and then take your seat in one of the beautifully restored dining cars for a sumptuous three-course lunch.

In the evening you may wish to enjoy an aperitif in Bar Car ‘3674’ as the pianist plays the baby grand. Then indulge in a delicious four-course dinner, with seasonal specialities sourced from producers along the route, accompanied by the sommelier's selected wines. After dinner, your compartment has been transformed into a bedroom, and you will wake the next day to the Italian countryside outside the window.

Breakfast is served in your cabin or suite, before disembarking in Rome late morning where your Kirker transfer is ready to whisk you to your hotel for a two-night stay.
