Vienna Opera

Vienna 3 nights Prices on request

The Vienna State Opera is one of the top four opera houses in the world and presents an unrivalled number of performances of both opera and ballet almost every night of the year. As well as having a very loyal Viennese audience, a performance is high on many visitors’ lists so advance booking is essential.

Please contact us for full details of the coming season including dates and prices.

We would be delighted to help you select a hotel in Vienna that best suits your needs and will tailor-make your holiday to meet your personal specification. Having discussed your holiday requirements with our reservations team, the Kirker Concierge would be delighted to assist with booking opera tickets, private guided tours and reserving a table for dinner at one of our recommended restaurants. (NB Unfortunately we cannot sell opera tickets on their own - they can only be booked in conjunction with a Kirker holiday.)

The price of opera tickets in Vienna range from £90 - £245 and vary depending on the performance, theatre and seat category. All prices include a local ticket agency handling fee and so will not reflect the face value of your ticket. We charge you the price we pay plus a £10 reservation fee per ticket.

Vienna Masterticket

For all of our clients travelling to Vienna, we are delighted to include a Masterticket which gives you entrance to the Leopold Museum and the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts). The Kunsthistorisches was built by Emperor Franz Joseph to house the vast Habsburg collections – amongst its many highlights is one of the foremost collections of Old Masters.

In contrast, the Leopold Museum is the home of Austrian modern art and includes works by the founder of the Vienna Secession movement, Gustav Klimt. The Kunstkammer at the Kunsthistorisches Museum is highly recommended; it reopened in 2013 after a 10 year restoration and is one of the world’s most important chambers of art.
