Alchymist Grand Hotel & Spa

Prague 3 nights low season from £796 per person
Superior

Housed in an ornate Baroque building dating from the 16th century, the Alchymist is a fine boutique hotel located in the quiet Mala Strana district just five minutes’ walk down the hill to Charles Bridge.

Each of the 45 rooms differ in size and decor due to the historic nature of the building; they include classical touches such as painted ceilings, four poster beds and antique furniture with marble bathrooms. Also ornate and grand in style, the ‘Aquarius’ restaurant prepares international and local cuisine while the ‘Barocco Veneziano’ Café serves tea, coffee and homemade chocolate pralines; best taken in the peaceful interior courtyard. The hotel also boasts an excellent spa located in the atmospheric vaulted cellars, including a small indoor pool.

3 night low season price from £796 per person, 3 night high season price from £998 per person

Three Hour Private Walking Tour

Unlike most European metropolitan cities, Prague is perfect for exploring on foot. The historical centre is compact and during your tour you will follow the famous King´s Way which winds along the mediaeval streets of the New Town, Old Town and Jewish quarter, crosses Charles Bridge and finishes at the Prague Castle via the Lesser Town (our guide can tailor the tour exactly according to your wishes). You will see Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical architecture, enjoy breathtaking views and discover hidden mediaeval alleyways. The guide will reveal the stories behind the city’s decadent centuries as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the tragic suffering and heartache under the Nazis and the Communists.
