Located just outside the centre of Aix-en-Provence, this 18th century mansion has been comprehensively transformed into a luxurious country house hotel.A member of Relais & Châteaux, it has 50 rooms and suites, 13 of which are in the original building with the remainder in an adjacent extension. The residence belonged to the Marquis de Saporta and then the Fonscolombe family, and has been home to generations of scientists and botanists who cultivated the extensive grounds – 180 species of trees and plants are found here, including an atlas cedar which was planted by the Queen Mother during a stay here. The grand public areas are beautifully-furnished with elegant lounges, a snooker room and library where guests can browse the collection or enjoy a glass of wine.
The brasserie L’Orangerie has a shaded outdoor terrace for alfresco dining in summer, where the Chef serves delicious cuisine with the best local Provencal ingredients. During the season, the gastronomic restaurant, La Table de L’Orangerie, welcomes the guests for an unforgettable dinner experience. There are 12 hectares of parkland, 25 hectares of vineyard, a heated swimming pool and a fitness room
