Superior

Located on Vienna’s longest shopping street, Mariahilfer Straße and only five minutes’ walk to the Leopold and Kunsthistorisches museums, Das Tyrol is a stylish and friendly boutique hotel which, after a full renovation, reopened in Septemeber 2018.

Art is a key feature with many original contemporary pieces by Viennese artists hanging throughout the hotel including within the 30 modern guest rooms. Elements of the interior are created by well known Viennese designers such as Wittmann, Backhausen and Thonet. An extensive a la carte breakfast is served in the cosy lounge which also doubles as a bar in the evenings. A glittering gold-tiled wellness room features a Finnish sauna, steam bath and a light therapy shower.

Vienna Masterticket

For all of our clients travelling to Vienna, we are delighted to include a Masterticket which gives you entrance to the Leopold Museum and the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts). The Kunsthistorisches was built by Emperor Franz Joseph to house the vast Habsburg collections – amongst its many highlights is one of the foremost collections of Old Masters.

In contrast, the Leopold Museum is the home of Austrian modern art and includes works by the founder of the Vienna Secession movement, Gustav Klimt. The Kunstkammer at the Kunsthistorisches Museum is highly recommended; it reopened in 2013 after a 10 year restoration and is one of the world’s most important chambers of art.
