Des Indes

The Hague 3 nights low season from £768 per person
Deluxe

Located on a leafy square in the heart of the city, this famous and luxurious hotel has played an integral part in the city's history. Since 1881 it has played host to royalty, Emperors and heads of state and was originally built in 1858 as the residence of King William III's personal advisor.

The hotel has some grand classical features such as the magnificent drop chandelier and colossal marble columns in the lobby and a recent redesign by Parisien interior designer Jacques Garcia has added a chic, contemporary style. The 92 bedrooms are extremely opulent, as are the bathrooms with their powerful rain showers, red tiles and sleek, black marble floors. The lounge bar and restaurant, run by chef Remco Biesma is one of the city’s most popular meeting places and has a great culinary reputation; the traditional high tea, served in the lobby, is an institution in The Hague. A spa has recently been added – it has a small indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym and offers a range of personalized massages and treatments.

3 night low season price from £768 per person, 3 night high season price from £826 per person
