Reopened in 2018 after an extensive renovation, the Miramare was owned by the Onassis family during the 1960s, when it hosted celebrities and royals from around the world. Today, it is once again a stylish, adults-only resort, located just 20 minutes’ drive from Corfu old town. The resort is surrounded by palms, olive trees and lawns with a pebble beach, outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and the Soma Spa. The 182 rooms, suites and villas are decorated in neutral colours with marble bathrooms and a terrace or patio, most with views of the Ionian sea. Suites and villas offer more privacy and access to the exclusive ‘Haute Living’ lounge area, whilst some also have private pools or jacuzzis. Three restaurants offer Mediterranean, Greek and Corfiot cuisine as well as a gastronomic option under the guidance of a Michelin-starred chef, whilst the sushi bar, poolside bar and ‘The Blu Bar’ provide tempting alternatives.
