Overlooking the colourful marina and just 500 metres from the centre of picturesque Rapallo and its beach, the Excelsior Palace is the grandest hotel in town. The 119 bedrooms are comfortably furnished and decorated in warm Mediterranean colours. The ‘Lord Byron’ restaurant offers panoramic coastal views and serves excellent Ligurian dishes. There are spacious lounges; cocktails and after dinner drinks can be enjoyed in the ‘Yachting Bar’. Across the road from the hotel (connected by pedestrian tunnel) is the private Beach Club with its cabanas, parasols and entrance to the sea by swimming pool style steps, here you’ll find the ‘Eden Roc’ summer restaurant. The hotel has two swimming pools – one outdoor (open June to September) and one indoor.
