Jardins De La Medina

Marrakech 3 nights low season from £698 per person

The discreet entrance door and reception hall give no clue to the delightful courtyard gardens of this charming, privately owned hotel. Created by combining a number of private houses, the architect has taken great trouble to preserve the character of the original buildings.

There is a restaurant where they serve a delicious buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, adjacent to the characterful bar – both with an outside terrace overlooking the gardens. The hotel’s swimming pool (heated in Winter) is neatly tucked away in the heart of the gardens surrounded by tall palm trees and exotic plants. Guests can enjoy the excellent views over the medina from one of the many rooftop terraces. There is a fitness centre, a hammam and beauty salon and 36 bedrooms.

3 night low season price from £698 per person, 3 night high season price from £748 per person

After encountering the inevitable school holiday mass exodus at Gatwick early on a Sunday morning, we arrived promptly at the altogether more palatable environs of Agadir. Agadir is a good choice for a sun and sea destination as it is warm yet tempered by the Atlantic sea breeze, perfect for a family holiday. Such benefits bring the Marrakechis to Agadir at this time of year, (helped greatly by a…

Morocco - The Desert Run

Leaving Marrakech (and 45 degree heat) for a more Berber view on life as we head towards the Atlas Mountains and beyond. First stop – the Kasbah Bab Ouirka, set on a plateau above the Ourika valley. Managed by Steven, an Englishman enamoured by Morocco many moons ago, it is a perfect spot for those wanting some time to reflect on life after souks. Of course, that wasn’t to be, as we…

Tailor-made Morocco

By Mr & Mrs S, London

Thank you so much for organising such a fantastic holiday.  We had the best time in Morocco and that was very much due to the ease of our holiday.  The transfers and guides were all incredibly efficient as well as interesting and informative people.  We loved the hotels.  They were both very different but equally characterful.
Our guide in Marrakech was fantastic, we booked him for the afternoon too and he was good fun as well as fascinating.  We learnt a lot and were delighted to have such a great introduction to the culture and life there as well as not getting lost in the Souk!
