K+K Hotel Central

Prague 3 nights low season from £548 per person
Superior

This excellent hotel opened in Spring 2004 after the comprehensive restoration of one of Prague’s most attractive Art Nouveau buildings. Formerly a theatre, the period architectural detail such as stained glass and wrought iron has been retained and combines favourably with a modern, contemporary design.

An excellent buffet breakfast is served in a wonderfully light and spacious hall and there is plenty of room in the lobby in which to relax. The 130 bedrooms are very comfortable and bathrooms all have welcome underfloor heating. There is a gym, a sauna and massage treatments are also offered. The location is great – just steps from the Powder Tower and the Municipal Hall, on a relatively quiet street.

3 night low season price from £548 per person, 3 night high season price from £736 per person

Three Hour Private Walking Tour

Unlike most European metropolitan cities, Prague is perfect for exploring on foot. The historical centre is compact and during your tour you will follow the famous King´s Way which winds along the mediaeval streets of the New Town, Old Town and Jewish quarter, crosses Charles Bridge and finishes at the Prague Castle via the Lesser Town (our guide can tailor the tour exactly according to your wishes). You will see Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical architecture, enjoy breathtaking views and discover hidden mediaeval alleyways. The guide will reveal the stories behind the city’s decadent centuries as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the tragic suffering and heartache under the Nazis and the Communists.

From here we were driven the short distance to our home for the weekend, the K + K Hotel Central.  As the name suggests, the hotel is in the heart of the city, and in fact it was formally…

My guide for the 3 hour private walking tour around Prague was excellent. Very informative and took me to places I would never have found on my own.
