Owned by the Moretti family, L’Andana is located in the Maremma region of southern Tuscany near the beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia. Pisa airport is one and a half hours away and Rome Fiumicino can be reached in two hours. Set at the foot of lush green hills with views out towards the island of Elba, this tranquil oasis which has been restored and renovated to palatial charm was once the hunting lodge of the Duke Leopold in the 16th century and is set in 1,200 acres of olive groves, vineyards and fruit orchards.
Renowned chef Enrico Bartolini has recently arrived at L’Andana from Milan where his restaurant ‘Mudec’ won three Michelin stars. The one Michelin starred ‘La Trattoria by Enrico Bartolini at L’Andana’ (closed on Mondays) is open for dinner - advanced reservations recommended. ‘La Villa’ offers Tuscan cuisine and is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is seasonal and sourced locally as part of L’Andana’s involvement in the now global, ‘Slow Food’ movement.
All 61 rooms (including the private four bedroom Villa La Scuderia) are beautifully decorated using terracotta Italian silks, modern and antique furniture and have plenty of rustic charm. Facilities include an ESPA spa, four swimming pools, tennis court and a three-hole pitch and putt golf course, driving range and bikes. The Wine Shop, added in 2023, showcases the Moretti family wines and offers wine tasting lunches and dinners. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service daily to the sandy beaches in Castiglione della Pescaia and has a partnership with two of the beach clubs.
