Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam

Amsterdam 3 nights low season from £796 per person
Superior

Dating from the 17th century, the Doelen is one of the oldest hotels in Amsterdam and stands in a central location where the Kloveniersburgwal canal meets the Amstel River.

The property was revitalised in 2016 with a complete renovation pairing a clean, modern aesthetic with the delicate original features of the building. Thanks to large windows, the 81 bedrooms are filled with light and the décor is a palette of subtle tones with accents of red and gold – some enjoy picturesque canal views. Perhaps the best view is from the breakfast room which overlooks the Amstel River. Rembrandt’s ‘The Night Watch’ was first hung in this building; today you need only walk for 15 minutes to view it at the wonderful Rijksmuseum.

3 night low season price from £796 per person, 3 night high season price from £998 per person

Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum

All Kirker clients travelling to Amsterdam receive entrance to Rijksmuseum or the Van Gogh Museum. Following a 10 year refurbishment the Rijksmuseum re-opened in 2013 and contains works by all the major Dutch Masters including one of the wealthiest Rembrandt collections in existence. The permanent collection at the Van Gogh Museum contains over 200 paintings and 500 drawings by the artist. It is beautifully laid-out, taking visitors through his work chronologically.
