A grand 19th century building in the centre of Como, this new hotel opened in December 2025 under the same management as the famous Villa d’Este in Cernobbio. The facade, with its Venetian Gothic windows, overlooks the lake and the Piazza Cavour, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo and old town. The town pier, from which ferries traverse the lake to the picturesque villages of Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna, is only located across the road from the hotel. There are 18 elegant contemporary rooms and suites and a stylish rooftop bar and restaurant, ‘Altariva’, with a menu influenced by the cuisine of the region offering sweeping views over Lake Como. Due to its joint management with the Villa d’Este, hotel guests are also able to enjoy the facilities of the Villa d’Este including its pool, sporting club and Golf Club.
