Pera Palace

Istanbul Prices on request

Once the original grand hotel of Istanbul the Pera Palace reopened in 2010 after a painstaking restoration, it first opened in 1892 to accommodate passengers from the Orient-Express.

During its illustrious history many distinguished guests have stayed here, including Agatha Christie, who is said to have found her inspiration for ‘Murder on the Orient-Express’ whilst residing in room 411. The aptly named ‘Agatha’ restaurant, pays tribute to the three major stops of the Orient-Express, by serving a combination of French, Italian and Turkish cuisines. The ‘Patisserie de Pera’ offers delicious hand-made cakes, while the ‘Kubbeli Saloon’ with its ornate high ceilings, is the perfect setting for afternoon tea. The spa has a traditional Turkish bath, steam room, Jacuzzi, sauna and indoor jet stream pool.
