The Inn at the Spanish Steps

Rome 3 nights low season from £788 per person
Deluxe

With its wonderful location on Via Condotti, Rome’s most exclusive shopping street, this small, boutique property is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and is perfect for clients looking for a stylish, intimate property in the heart of the city.

Formerly a stately 18th century townhouse and the home of Hans Christian Andersen, it has been completely renovated to a very high standard with contemporary design blending with classical furnishings, antiques and frescoes. The top floor lounge is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy afternoon tea – pre-dinner drinks and canapés are served here each evening. In fine weather, breakfast is served on the roof terrace with its wonderful views of the Spanish Steps and the city’s rooftops and domes. As well as the 22 bedrooms in the main building, there are a further four in an annexe 100 metres away (also on Via Condotti). In addition, the hotel has 12 rooms and apartments overlooking Piazza di Spagna and the world’s most photographed steps (further details and prices available on request).

3 night low season price from £788 per person, 3 night high season price from £1,098 per person

What more could anyone ask for? Delicious food, fine wine and cities steeped in fascinating culture - all included on my recent trip to northern Italy. Bologna, my first stop, is a city known for its culinary tradition, its elegant arcades and its two famous mediaeval towers.  A mere 498 steps are all it takes to reach some of the most breath-taking panoramic views of the rooftops below. So you can only imagine how thrilled I was when I had the opportunity to visit Florence and Venice, with a journey on the Orient Express back to London to crown the experience. I still…

Venice, Florence & The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

I can now unquestionably say that I was not disappointed! The journey started on the charming British Pullman with its characterful carriages where a leisurely…

Our whole experience was unforgettable thanks to Kirker. The little touches such as Prosecco on arrival and speedy boarding just made the whole experience even more memorable. Thank you Kirker for appreciating the importance holidays have in our increasingly stressed and busy existence.
