From Rembrandt to Vermeer, Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection

To celebrate the city’s 750th birthday, 18 works by Rembrandt - part of the private collection of Dr. Thomas Kaplan and his wife Daphne - will be shown publicly together in Amsterdam for the first time. The exhibition will also include Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Ferdinand Bol, Frans van Mieris and Maria Schalcken, as well as a remarkable painting by Vermeer, restored especially for this occasion. Together, these masterpieces of the Dutch Golden Age paint a vivid picture of daily life in the 17th century Netherlands.
