The Garden Route
This spectacular drive along South Africa's south western coastline stretches from Heidelberg in the west for 200 miles towards Storms River in the east and is one of the most beautiful in the world. Countless spectacular beaches, nature reserves, indigenous forests and peaceful lagoons are flanked by the calm waters of the Indian Ocean and the majestic Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountain ranges.

The drive from Cape Town to the heart of The Garden Route is approximately five hours’ drive; however, we can fly you to George if you prefer, which is just one hour from Knysna.

Created by Andrew Ardington, Three Tree Hill Lodge has been built to reflect the Colonial style of the 19th century. The Lodge is located on a bluff looking out towards the Spioenkop Hill, the site of one of the most closely fought battles of the Anglo-Boer War. The staff make sure that their guests are made to feel very welcome and there is a homely atmosphere that has encouraged many to return.
