Short Break
Lying 15 miles to the east of Plettenberg Bay, Hog Hollow is a private nature reserve blessed with a stunning position. It sits on the edge of a forest overlooking the Matjies River Gorge and has breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.Andy and Debbie Fermor have assembled a loyal team dedicated to maintaining a harmonious atmosphere, and as a result, Hog Hollow has a well-deserved reputation as one of the Garden Route’s friendliest places to stay. At the centre of the main house is the large dining room where guests plan their daily activities over breakfast and enjoy candlelit dinners around the communal table. Outside you will find the beautiful swimming pool and the boma where nightly fires are lit. 16 suites are spread around the grounds, designed in classic style with local artwork, most offering a small terrace overlooking the forest. The Fermor family have recently added to the hotel inventory a three bedroom villa on site and four bedroom lodge nearby, both formerly their private residences – a perfect option for a larger family.
