Krakow 3 nights low season from £738 per person

The astronomer Copernicus used to stay in this house when he travelled to Krakow as a church emissary, and today his portrait hangs over the reception of a fine luxury hotel.

Located in the heart of the city centre close to Wawel Castle, the Copernicus has been beautifully restored to its original Gothic and Renaissance splendour. Drinks are served on the Panorama Terrace in summer, with its spectacular view of the city's spires. There is also a piano bar and a fine restaurant with an extensive wine list. A rare collection of historic boos and manuscripts is on view in teh 'Fireplace Hall' library. Below ground, in the Gothic vault is an indoor swimming pool. There are 29 beautifully furnished bedrooms.

3 night low season price from £738 per person, 3 night high season price from £886 per person
