Hotel Barge Anjodi

Prices on request

A classic French barge which spends much of the year on the UNESCO World Heritage avenues of the ancient Canal du Midi, Anjodi was also the secret star of Rick Stein’s popular French Odyssey TV series, during which the chef (and his dog) explored the culinary traditions of southern France.

Converted from a traditional working Dutch vessel, Anjodi offers four compact yet well-designed cabins with ensuite bathrooms and either double or twin beds. The interiors are decorated with African hardwoods and polished brass portholes to create a warm ambience, reminiscent of a classic yacht. The charming saloon is particularly welcoming, with its combination of rich wood flooring, elegant French dining furniture and comfortable banquette seating, as well as a fully stocked bar, and there is a spacious sundeck, shaded by an adjustable canopy, with comfortable sun loungers and a spa pool.
