Based in Burgundy, La Belle Epoque was formerly a working vessel transporting lumber from this densely-wooded region up the Burgundy Canal to Paris. She now transports guests on the same canal but in considerably more comfort, with two junior suites and four staterooms offering a choice of twin or double beds and marble en-suite bathrooms.
The public areas include a wood-panelled saloon and dining room with bespoke, hand-built seating and a spacious sun deck with spa pool and sun loungers. There are also bicycles on board for the more energetic guests to ride along the gentle towpaths and work up an appetite for the next Boeuf Bourguignon – the delicious Burgundian cuisine, not to mention fine wines, served on board is one of the highlights of a holiday in this part of France.
Our expert reservations team regularly travel to a wide range of destinations to explore new cities, visit hotels and to research museums, galleries and restaurants so that we can offer the most up-to-date advice and recommendations.
