Originally built as a serviced residence for visitors to the 1851 Great Exhibition under the patronage of Prince Albert, this historic property was later founded as a hotel in 1892. Situated on Queen’s Gate 3 minutes’ walk from the Royal Albert Hall, the interiors hark back to its’ Victorian past with an atmospheric wood panelled bar and 50 individually designed rooms and suites complete with antique furniture and ornate beds. At 190 Queen’s Gate restaurant Head Chef Frederick Forster serves modern English cuisine and also offers two or three-course pre-theatre menus. A refined Afternoon Tea and a traditional Sunday lunch are also available.
