The Grand Dame of San Remo, the Royal has been a favourite of the aristocracy and celebrities since 1872. It sits in a private, subtropical park, a short walk from the casino.
Clients have complimentary use of a private beach located down 100 steps from the main hotel and across the road (there is also a sweeping, sloping pathway if you prefer to avoid stairs). Classically furnished throughout, there are grand public rooms and 126 bedrooms, many with balconies and sea views. The main restaurant, ‘Fiori di Murano’, also has lovely sea views and is open for lunch and dinner (gentlemen are required to wear a jacket for dinner). There is an additional summer restaurant for al fresco dining and a pool bar where light lunches are served.
